Summary:This fic is Zan's story, his sequel to "Aftermath". If you haven't read "Aftermath", you won't have any idea who this Zan is. This story is all about him and his adjustment to life on Antar, without Liz.

In "Aftermath", Zan wasn't exactly a nice guy. He was born and bred to be an assassin, and damn good at it. He was a cold blooded killer, until a dormant connection opened with Max, awakening human emotions in him. And then he met Liz and his whole world was turned upside down. Some people found Zan sexy and exciting, in a bad boy kind of way. Others hated him from the get go and never warmed toward him. Some even wanted him to die a horrible violent death. All of those reactions are valid.

There's no doubt that this Zan is a very flawed man. The only question now is if it's possible for a stone cold killer to find redemption, and if so, at what cost?

Summary: Everything up to and through Departure is real. Future Max came back in time to force Liz to change the future. As a result, Alex died, Max slept with Tess and got her pregnant, Tess went back to Antar in the Granilith. Max, Michael and Isabel were left 'stranded' on Earth.

This story begins during the summer after Departure. To be precise, it begins the day after Max and Liz's 'first date', that infamous walk on the dock, except in this story, Max never got to the part where he stripped off his clothes and went skinny dipping in the lake.
