Trivia
Ever wonder what the name Emilie means?
The name Emilie is a variation of the name Emelie and is derived from 'Aemilius'. This is a Latin name that is brought into connection with the Greek '(h)aimulos' which means 'soft, friendly' or with the Latin 'aemulus' which means 'rival'.
The name Tess, Emilie's character on Roswell, comes from the name Theresa. The meaning of this name is uncertain. It could be derived from the Greek 'theros' which means
'warmth, summer' but also from the Greek 'thèraein' which means 'hunt'. The name could also mean 'inhabitant of the island Thera' (now Santorini an island of the Italian coast) or 'inhabitant of Theresia'.
